its a eaton M62 stock boost at this stage but will be making a aftercooler for it
specs are 275 lbs @ 3000 rpm and 225 HP @ 5000rpm, so they a good rev range, the aftercooler gives its about another 50-70 kw
Looks good, keep the pictures coming!
Can it still be called an Ecojet??
thats awesome, I am a fan of the buick V6
sent memcal away today to get reprogrammed for the new engine engine arrives on Monday pick up Friday
go the memcal back today all i need now is the engine
its being held up with the snow
got the engine today and the manifolds fit gonna give the supercharger a bit of a port and the manifold a slight polish
Nice,...pics please
ported the supercharger today give it a slight polish in the intake side and give it a acid wash then put it back on the engine
Is there much more performance in porting it?
polished the inlet port, its all done now, new re build kit turns up next week including new drive coupling, bearing front and rear s/c oil and cir-clip
yep its easy hp

from what i have read on the net is its about making it smoother to produce less friction in turn reducing the intake temps, heat being the enemy of forced induction i think that's where the increase of power comes from rather than more air.
some examples of porting a supercharger, i think they should have spent more time research what they were doing
after finding out that the drive coupling can be fitted 12 different ways i now have it on. ordered the heat exchanger core yesterday and getting the material to make it Wednesday its going to be a bar and grill heat exchanger rather than the heat elements that the mace ones are, Heat Exchanger Services said it will work ten times better, i will also have the water flow in one direction so no warm water will be getting put back thru the aftercooler. its going to be 60mm high but the heat exchanger is only 50mm, should still work a treat
pictures to come
i got the material for the intercooler today get the heat exchanger on friday and start work this weekend on it
the spacer has being cut @ $3800+GST per SQM it all about measuring twice cutting once
pick up the heat exchanger tomorrow
