Had a fantastic run up the Ashburton river today, was flowing around 30m3 which was perfect. Lots of tight twisty stuff, was the first real trip in the new boat and it went really well. However managed to get stuck 50m from the put in/take out  Went with a great bunch of guys, a big thanks to David and everyone else for such a good day on the river. We managed to get right up to the Rangitata diversion race. Would have been great to go up further but a 3 foot waterfall blocking the way. The river should be in good condition for next weekend, watch out Mike here I come, (if they let me :D )!

Ps forgot the camera but took some photos on the cell phone
