a JAA club run to the Riverina area of NSW is on this weekend. Notably the Tumut and Murrumbidgee Rivers. The Tumut however is around just 3 cumecs right now so a couple of club members were applying slipcoat today! Usually a great weekend away with our base in Gundagai and launching off the bank at the tysons farm property with access to both rivers. rumour has it that m harris is also to make an appearance should he get past customs. around 6 boats confirmed so far.

Be careful Mr Harris, don't get tangled up in those extra long bow ropes they have over there, I noticed last year that some of them were almost 2m long.
We haven't heard from them because they'll be pushing boats and drinking Beer....or maybe drinking Beer and pushing boats. It is great place to stay and boat

Yes to both drinking beer and pushing boats. Every boat needed a push at one time or another, with possibly (definitely) mof's boat requiring the most pushes. 8O The Missile has a 3.4kW impeller in the 212, turning at 4,400. Brutal. 8) Tuidorg had the longest push off a sand bar. The bottom of Gav's 142 has an entirley new shape due to numerous hits. Paul's 142 was in dubious condition at the start of the weekend, with the Buick finally completely voiding its bowel this morning. Plugged heat exchangers from pumping gravel, broken windscreen from a log hit, wet feet all round, bilge sniffer alarms  etc. Some of the crew are staying on for some more boating this arvo and tomorrow, Monday. And plenty more beer...

This one needs some explaining.....Paul turned up with his boat and had no end of problems (you know the days when everything goes wrong) We had spent a fair bit of time over previous days trying to sort the problems with the boat and we thought we had it nailed last thing sat evening...so off to the pub we go for a very merry evening where lots of tails were told and relived, At some time we stumbled home (back to motel) where a plan was hatched by matthew mof and ryan.....they decided that Matthew and I should sneak over to Pauls boat and disable the HEI distributer as a joke for the morning, After much protest by myself!! we snuck over and pulled the wires.
Now back at joke HQ the plan was further played out (I had bought all my tuning gear over to set up matthews motor with a custom tune), so it was decided to video paul (now looking forward to a good days boating in his own boat)....we decided we would let him try and start it (several times) where he reached for the engine start (that had a note in the cap but he still didnt get it!!)And when it didnt go we would use my tuning program to plug into his D.I.C (distributer interface cable), After much laughter this was the result.....note Ryans face as he backs off the trailer.

I didn't run aground that many times. Surely they are different angles of the same one or maybe two groundings.
